- Go to the VPC menu, under Internet egress, and create a NAT Gateway.
- Choose whether all subnets (including ones created later) or only some subnets go out through the NAT.
- Copy the IP you get and give it to your partner to add to their whitelist.
This IP is yours alone and isn’t shared with other customers. Subnets you don’t choose use a shared outgoing IP, which can change. Each VPC can have 1 NAT Gateway. It’s charged hourly plus by the amount of data.
If you delete a NAT Gateway and create a new one within a certain time, you get the same IP back.
If a firewall on your Network Hub carries traffic To the internet, it takes the NAT Gateway’s place for the hub owner’s VPCs (see Firewall on a Network Hub).
If something goes wrong
It says “Region นี้ยังไม่มี Static IP ว่างสำหรับ NAT Gateway กรุณาติดต่อผู้ดูแลระบบ” (This region has no static IP free for a NAT Gateway yet; please contact us)
The static IPs in this region are all in use for now. Open a ticket and our team will get an IP ready for you.
My partner says the IP I sent doesn’t match
Check that the service’s subnet is chosen to go out through the NAT Gateway. If it isn’t, the service uses a shared IP instead.
