- Go to the Managed Databases menu and click Create database.
- Engine: PostgreSQL 16–18, MySQL 8.0 / 8.4 or MariaDB 10.11 / 11.4 (ThailandHosting Cache and Valkey are under Managed Cache)
- Instance: name the server (used as the name for connecting), choose a size from Micro to X-Large, and SSD or HDD disk of 10–1000 GB.
- Connectivity: connecting inside the VPC always works. Turn on a public endpoint as well if you need to connect from outside.
- Backup: choose every 6 hours, 12 hours, daily or weekly, the start time, and how many backups to keep (1–90).
- Check everything, then click create.
You can create it when the project’s wallet holds enough to pay for all the project’s services for at least 24 hours after it’s created. Later you can make the server bigger or smaller in the Size & flags tab by clicking Resize (the database restarts once). Storage can only grow; it can’t be made smaller.
