Ring up sales on the tablet you already own, no POS terminal to buy
Sales written in a notebook, a till that never matches at closing, and receipts written by hand. Turn on the counter tool in Business Apps and use it in a browser on a tablet, phone or computer; counter and online sales land in one report.
Ring up and print receipts
- Ring up items or menu dishes at the counter, and record whether you were paid in cash, PromptPay or another way.
- Print receipts from the browser on 58/80 mm thermal slip printers or any ordinary printer, with your own receipt number prefix and footer.
- VAT-registered shops: issue abbreviated tax invoices showing your taxpayer name and ID, with the VAT split out of tax-inclusive prices for you.
- Refunds issue a credit note and come off the shift’s takings.
- Dine-in: open a bill per table, let guests order in several rounds and pay once when the bill closes, with an optional service charge.
Close every shift and see at once if cash is short
- Open a shift with a starting float; at closing, count the cash against sales and the system shows exact, over or short, with a printable summary.
- Staff get their own accounts (Starter 3 · Business 20 per site) and can ring up sales but not change prices or the menu.
- Shop managers have a PIN to approve what needs a manager, and the owner can see an audit log of who did what.
- Sales reports for today, yesterday, the last 7 days or a month, with the 10 best sellers; Business downloads CSV for your accounts.
Grow beyond the counter
- Turn on online ordering so customers order from the shop’s website, stock is counted, and PromptPay goes straight to the shop’s account.
- Loyalty points by phone number (Business) and discount codes (Starter 5 · Business 100).
- Pair it with Wi-Fi Hotspot to print the customer’s Wi-Fi code on the receipt.
- Business runs 2 branches in one site, each with its own PromptPay.
Risky actions need a manager
- Each staff member signs in with their own account (Starter 3 · Business 20 per site) and can’t change prices or the menu.
- Cancelling a paid sale, giving a discount, refunding or letting a guest leave without paying needs a manager’s 4–8 digit PIN.
- The audit log records every cancellation, refund, discount, price change, receipt reprint and shift, with who did it, who approved it and why. It can’t be edited or deleted.
For VAT-registered shops
- Turn on VAT registration and receipts become abbreviated tax invoices showing your registered name, tax ID and address.
- Prices include VAT; the receipt shows the VAT inside the total at the rate you set.
- A refund issues a credit note and comes off the shift’s takings.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need a POS terminal or software to install?
No. The counter runs in a browser on the tablet, phone or computer you already have. A slip printer is optional; an ordinary printer works too.
How much does the POS cost?
The base fee $2.90 plus the counter tool $2.90, $5.80 per site a month, on a Starter ($5.60) or Business ($16.00) site; Business includes the base fee and 2 tools free for one site. No percentage of your sales.
Do counter sales count towards the order quota?
No. Sales your staff ring up at the counter do not count towards the month’s online order quota.
Does it check that a PromptPay transfer arrived?
No. Money goes straight to the shop’s account and we never hold it; staff check the banking app before marking it paid.
Can staff delete a sale to hide it?
A paid sale can be cancelled only with a manager’s PIN, and the cancellation stays in the audit log with who approved it.
Who can see the audit log?
The shop owner.
Can it issue full tax invoices?
Receipts are abbreviated tax invoices. Check with your accountant whether that covers what your customers need.
