Sell online in Laos and get paid by LaoQR in kip

Customers transfer money and send you a slip to check, the amount is off, or they type it wrong. Let your own site take the orders, show prices in kip, and have customers scan your shop’s LaoQR with the amount already in it. The money goes straight to your account.

A shop in kip from end to end

  • Set your shop’s currency to kip (LAK ₭). Prices on your site, orders, bills and receipts are in kip, in whole numbers with no decimals.
  • Use the payment QR your bank in Laos gave your shop’s account: upload a photo, scan it with your camera or paste the QR text. The system checks it is a LaoQR in kip and shows you the payee name to confirm.
  • When customers scan, the order amount appears in their banking app, so nobody types it. The money goes straight to your account; we never hold your shop’s money.
  • Works with the Business Apps systems: online ordering, counter, online store, appointments, rooms and monthly rentals.
  • Shops with several branches can set a separate LaoQR account for each branch.
  • 0% commission on every order and every booking.

Lao from the Console to the receipt

  • The Console can be used in Lao.
  • Write your pages in Lao and set your site’s language to Lao so Google knows it is a Lao site.
  • Receipts and emails to customers are in Lao when you set the email language in your shop settings to Lao.
  • See the prices on this page and your wallet balance in kip.

Prices and top-ups

  • Business Apps starts at $5.80 per site a month (base fee plus 1 system), on a site on Starter at $5.60 a month or Business at $16.00 a month, which includes the base fee and 2 systems free on 1 site.
  • Your wallet is kept in US dollars, but you can view it and top up in kip. Kip top-ups carry 10% VAT, charged once when you top up.
  • For now, kip top-ups are by Bitcoin only (identity verification required). PromptPay works when you top up in baht.

Frequently asked questions

Which banks’ QR codes can I use?

Use the kip payment QR (LaoQR) that a bank in Laos issued for your shop’s account, such as BCEL One, LDB or JDB. Customers scan it with any banking app that pays LaoQR. QR codes from other countries, or ones not in kip, are not accepted.

Does the system check payments automatically?

No. Money goes straight to your shop’s account. Check the amount in your banking app before marking the order paid. We never receive or hold money for you.

Is there a fee per order?

No. 0% commission. You pay only your plan and the Business Apps add-on per site.

How do I top up my wallet in kip?

For now, kip top-ups are by Bitcoin only, after identity verification, with 10% VAT added at top-up. If you can pay in baht, switch your wallet currency to baht and top up with PromptPay. Switching the display currency does not change your balance.

Can I switch my shop from baht to kip later?

Only while the shop has no products, prices, orders, bookings, bills or coupons yet. Set the currency to kip before you add products and prices.
