Set the shop currency
- In the Shop / Orders / Booking tab, open the Shop settings sub-tab and go to the Payment section.
- Under Shop currency, choose Thai baht (THB ฿) or Lao kip (LAK ₭), then save.
Prices on the site, orders, bills and receipts use the chosen currency. Kip prices are whole numbers, with no decimals.
Set the currency before you add products and prices. Once the shop has products, prices, orders, bookings, bills or coupons saved, the currency can’t be changed any more.
Take payments by LaoQR
- Once kip is chosen, the LaoQR payments section appears. Add the payment QR a bank in Laos issued to the shop’s account in one of three ways: Upload QR image, Scan with camera, or paste the text inside the QR.
- Check the payee name the system read (customers see this name in their banking app), then save.
- Customers order, then scan the shop’s LaoQR with the order amount already filled in. The money goes straight to the shop’s account. Check the amount in your banking app before you click Payment received.
A shop with several branches can give each branch its own Branch LaoQR. Leave it empty to use the shop’s LaoQR.
Receipts in Lao
Receipts and emails to customers use the Email language in the shop settings. Choose ລາວ to get receipts in Lao.
If something goes wrong
It says “This QR isn’t a Lao QR.”
The QR you added is from another country, such as a Thai PromptPay QR. Use the payment QR a bank in Laos issued to the shop.
It says “This QR doesn’t receive kip.”
This QR receives another currency. Ask your bank for a QR that receives kip, then add it again.
It says “เปลี่ยนสกุลเงินของร้านไม่ได้” (The shop’s currency can’t be changed)
The shop already has products, prices, orders, bookings, bills or coupons saved in the old currency, so the currency is locked: otherwise the saved numbers would be read in the new currency (฿1,500 would become ₭1,500).
