The Wi-Fi log the law asks for, kept and ready when an official calls

An official asks who used your Wi-Fi at a certain time, and all you have is a shared password on the wall. Give each guest their own sign-in, and every connection is logged, sealed and kept for you, ready to search and export.

Logged for you

  • Every connection is logged with its address and time, and kept for 90 days, or 1 year if you choose.
  • The log is sealed in a hash chain, so you can show it hasn’t been changed. Deleting a location doesn’t shorten it.
  • Each guest signs in with a Wi-Fi code, their own account or a shop receipt code, so a connection points to a person.

When an official asks

  • Search by time, IP, MAC, Wi-Fi code, username or destination IP.
  • Enter the reason, such as the number of the official letter, then export CSV.
  • Every look is recorded with who looked and why.

With the equipment you have

  • Keep your MikroTik, UniFi, Omada, Meraki or Cisco, or any router whose sign-in page checks with RADIUS.
  • Or run our Hotspot Server, which keeps logging on its disk while the Internet line is down.

Frequently asked questions

Is a Wi-Fi password on the wall enough?

A shared password doesn’t tell you who was connected. Giving each guest their own sign-in lets the log point to a person.

What does it cost?

Wi-Fi Hotspot from $9.90 per location a month, on every website package, Free included. The log for the first 90 days is free up to the package’s allowance.

Can I see the log without a reason?

Every look asks for a reason and is recorded. Look only when there is a real need, because it holds your guests’ personal data.

Does free public Wi-Fi need a log?

Anyone giving the public Internet access must keep computer traffic data for at least 90 days under the Computer Crime Act. Every connection is logged for you, and you can search and export when an official asks.
